Family, Trees, Core Values + artigenuitY outreach to AI

For 27 years, we operated a family business consultancy supported by a website that focused on helping our 300+ organizational clients become “Customer Champions.” In October 2023, I (Darby) created a separate website about something called “artigenuity.” These ideas are now included at this family website. I invite you to go to the fourth (4th) menu tab where I share my author's perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing our modern society.
Why The Tree Roost as a domain name? It is a metaphor to illustrate the far-reaching perspective birds have while perched high in the treetops, and to acknowledge the place where the wise old owl sits turning its head 270 degrees from side to side to demonstrate both vigilance and wisdom.
Themes and Concepts. This website now has three major themes: Artigenuity, Trees/Forest, and Family. Some readers may think there was an intentional connection between trees and the concept of "artigenuity." This was not initially the case but perhaps it occurred subconsciously given my deep gratitude for the dependability and generosity of trees. They are so essential, so solid, and so authentic. Consider the full meaning of "family tree" as one of life's most familiar and meaningful metaphors?
Artigenuity Short Definition: "The combined human capacities of intellect, talent, and empathy." (See more detail at the fourth menu tab.)
This updated version of our website now includes two emphases:
- Nature Connections: We will share some of our family's core values that arise from our heavenly connections with nature and the hospitality of our forest family of trees located in Sanpete County, Utah. We love Utah with its majestic mountains, verdant valleys, red rock canyons, and amazing forest landscapes.
- Core Values to the Rescue: There is a message of concern and hopefulness for the future of our world society. Darby has recently written a candid, yet optimistic commentary. His new book includes an autobiographical section that expands on Darby & Sharon's family values and the underlying principles of faith that guide them. Website Masthead...with Gratitude: We are so grateful for the inspiring background image in our website masthead. It is perfect in portraying the Earth as "Our Planet Gem." We found the image using Microsoft Bing and could not identify a more specific source. There is similar public sourcing for other images, along with our own artistic creations. We thank all contributors.

Darby & Sharon Checketts - Life's Adventures
After Darby's corporate career, we established our consulting business. We were blessed with a houseful of dynamic and dependable children. These are the joy of our lives. Eventually, Darby authored several business books for his clients. These include Customer Astonishment and Positive Conflict. We spent eight years supporting financially disadvantaged college students in the Salt Lake City area. As our children left the family nest, we took to the highway across the natural wonderland that is Utah. We wrote The Utah Cure (2017) to help readers discover the rejuvenating, and inspirational effects of being in the great outdoors. our Purpose
Trees: Our Most Essential Partners
LOVE: We love many things: God, Family, Friends, and Country. Next in line would be "trees." In an age of threatening climate change, there are no more essential partners than trees in sustaining life on our planet gem. Trees are the beloved royalty of the Plant Kingdom. We live part-time with 90+ Juniper trees, Gambel Oak trees, and various species of Pine trees in the forest foothills of Sanpete County, Utah. To sustain the outdoor connection with our children, we created our family's "Owl's Nest." This story really began with our Mother Tree as you can read in Darby's recent book, Forest Is the Tree Word for Family,
